I agrees with Lin on your abstract of textures and color. v

Melinda Ledsome replied:

Thank you! It was almost a throw-away shot... I took it on purpose, but it didn't quite come out as I had expected. But I liked it enough to try editing it - and it turned out decent enough.. ;-)

Really nice example of abstract-but-not minimalism! Brava! Voted and my pick of the day in the "minimalism in photography" group.

Melinda Ledsome replied:

Thank you sooo much!!! I struggle with the difference between abstract and minimalism. But thrilled you liked it - no matter the category. :-)

Artist's Description

The architecture of the San Antonio Main Library is full of surprises, if you know where to look. This decorative set of steps are on an upstairs outside balcony that is usually closed off to visitors. If you can find a way to be granted access, it's worth the small detour.

About Melinda Ledsome

Melinda Ledsome

I like to think I specialize in scenic landscapes and architectural images, but the truth is that my camera and I try and capture everything I see! All the images here have been taken on my personal travels and so they do reflect a lot about me and what I see. I've had a camera in my hand since I was about 8. I was very shy around people, so one day my Dad 'forced' me to take photos at family gatherings to get me to interact. Now days most people can't believe that I was every shy and quiet! My camera is still my safety net and I still feel safest when it is holding my hand.
